The UK is running out of gas. Very rapidly indeed. So much so, that shortly after Easter cuts and rationing may be introduced, with industrial users and hospitals getting preferential treatment.

The UK is europe’s second largest gas consumer. A harsh winter that’s extended well in to the spring has put unsustainable pressure on the gas supply network and despite recently signing a deal with the US for importing gas, that doesn’t start until 2018, things are looking pretty desperate.
